The Virtual Light Table"VLT" provides the photographer with the essential working space to organize, manage, and process digital images. In one place, thephotographer can view all images as thumbnail, search for images, create image archives, attach comments to images, generate a contact sheet of thecomplete work space, and print single images at high resolution. For each image, the photographer can also retrieve critical EXIF information from hisdigital image files. A special feature of the Virtual Light Table is its unique "Zoom" function. In order to save RAW data with extended dynamic range (HDR HighDynamic Range), the 48bit TIFF format and the CAMERA RAW format was developed. Even scanners or cameras with only 30 or 36 bit capability generate theirmaximum output range in this format. Regardless of the effective dynamic range supplied, the file will always become a 48 bit file. Normal scanningsoftware saves images into a 24 bit file, discarding the extra information created by the scanner. 48 bit files retain all of the information supplied.
